Located at the centre of Singapore, on a small hillock off the junction of Thomson Road and Toa Payoh Rise, this former Catholic building on convent grounds has nearby MacRitchie forest reserve to thank for its wonderfully fresh air.
Set up since 3Q 2006, it exudes a certain hushed, pastoral atmosphere that calms and rejuvenates the residents. The open dormitory-like living quarters echoes the kampong and communal spirit of the past.
